How to add a shutdown button in Windows 8 desktop and start screen

Just like the earlier versions of the windows it is just three clicks to shut down your pc in Window 8. But the shut down button is hidden on the side bar which actually is a little bit annoying . So instead of using this annoying screen it is easy to make your own power button both in desktop and start up screen. 

For this just right click on the desktop and select create a new shortcut. In the box type "shutdown /s /t 0" and save it. If you want to add a restart button also than just replace the /s with /r ( "shutdown /r /t 0" ) .

Now to give a icon to the created shortcut 

Right click on the shortcut and select properties >> Change Icon >> Select the shutdown Icon from the list and click on OK. 

Now you have a custom shut down button on your desktop or start up screen .So you can power off your PC without using annoying default power link of windows.
