How to avoid gmail from hacking and What to do if gmail got hacked

Think what will you do if some one hacks your google account. Today we all have so many accounts associated with a common email id. • Add your mobile phone no. in your gmail account and also verify it. Google will sends you a message if some one will try to change your password.

Note down the following information about your account at a safe location before it gets very late.

1. Month and year when you created your account. You can find this by going to last messages in your inbox as google sends you welcome message when you create a new account.

2. If you created your account by someone's invitation than note down the email address of person who invited you.

3. Top 5 email IDs with which you exchange emails.

4. Name of any custom label (If you have made any).

5. dd/month/year when you started using other google applications (like orkut, blogger, adsense etc) on this account.

6. Your last used and current password.
