Window 8 Tips and tricks

Window 8 gives you a complete different interface as compared to the earlier versions of the windows. but as you go on using window 8 you will become familiar with it. But don't stop here. Just to start and shutdown like other windows will not give you the complete fun of using window 8. Here in this post we will introduce you with some tips and tricks about window 8 which will make your experience of window 8 more enjoyable.

1. How to use God Mode in window 8 

God mode is a one of the useful trick in windows to manage a lot of things at a single place. It will make you to manage and maintain a lot of settings and properties at a single click. 

To have a access of God Mode in windows 8 Create a new folder on desktop and name it "GodMode.ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}" The folder symbol will automatically changed to a system folder symbol. Now double click the folder and enjoy the god mode of windows.

NOTE: The above mentioned trick to use God Mode will also works in other mode of windows.  

2. Some Window 8 Shortcuts

Using any window with some shortcuts make much enjoyable experience. It also makes you to feel some superior in your friend group ;). So here is a little list of some  window 8 shortcuts.

• Press the Windows key to open the Start screen or switch to the Desktop (if open).
• Press the Windows key + D will open the Windows Desktop.
• Press the Windows key + . to pin and unpin Windows apps on the side of the screen.
• Press the Windows key + X to open the power user menu, which gives you access to many of the features most power users would want (e.g. Device Manager and Command Prompt).
• Press the Windows key + C to open the Charms.
• Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings, which is the same Settings found in Charms.
• Press and hold the Windows key + Tab to show open apps.
• Press the Windows key + Print screen to create a screen shot, which is automatically saved into your My Pictures folder.
• Ctrl-Shift-Esc to open Task Manager

3. Make a well use of hot corners

Window 8 gives you different functions in all different corners of start screen. These window corners are known as Hot Corners as they will give access to different features.

• Bottom Left-hand corner

The bottom left-hand hot corner of the screen will allow you to access the Start screen, if you're in the Start screen and have the Desktop open, this corner will open the Desktop from the Start screen.

Note: Right-clicking in the left hand corner will open the power user menu.

• Top-left corner of the screen

Moving the mouse to the top-left corner and then down will display all the apps running on the computer. Clicking and dragging any of these apps to the left or right-hand side of the screen will snap that app to that side of the screen. Each of these open app icons can also be right-clicked to close or snap.

• Right-hand side of the screen

On the full right-hand side of the screen will be given access to the Windows Charms. 

  

What is Windows Charms  

The Windows Charms is a new feature that was introduced with Windows 8 that gives you access to Search, Share, Start, Devices, and Settings. This menu appears when you move you mouse on the right-hand side of the screen or press the Windows key + C on the keyboard.

4. Use a pic password to log in your pc

Window 8 permits you to log in your machine using a pic password. This pic password will contain a series of circles, taps, lines or any other this type of figures.

Open windows charm >> Settings >> More pc settings >> users >> create a pic password.
