The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of USA told that in two large clinical trials daily use of this drug has shown a significant reduction in HIV chances.
However some health groups have opposed the daily use pill.
"This drug will enhance the wrong willingness for unsafe sexual activities or any such other activity", said by one of the opposing health organisation. Many other health workers also express their fear of development of Drug-Resistant Strain of HIV using this daily intake drug.
In a reply FDA said that the drug should be taken as a part of 'comprehensive HIV prevention plan' just like condoms and regular HIV tests.
