Many a time we install a antivirus but we actually don't know about the performance of the it. Viruses can harm your pc or your data so it is very necessary to check the performance of your antivirus. We can check it by using a small trick which doesn't need to install any other software.
How to check performance of your antivirus :
Step 1. Open notepad in your system (by using window + R and write notepad and hit enter)
Step 2. Copy the following code and paste in opened notepad file.
X5O!P%@AP[4PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*
Step 3. While saving the file rename the file by "myfile.com" (quotations are included)
Now save the file at desktop.
If your antivirus is running properly it will detect this file and will ask to delete it.
